Some GTA 6 developers have been harassed outside Rockstar North office in Scotland by a TikToker who said he’s “sick and tired of waiting for the answers,” deciding to badger developers over “when’s the next delay” and trailer. Currently, GTA 6 is on course to come out May 26th. Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive have been very tight-lipped about the game, although the Take-Two CEO has said he is confident in the release date and that the game will “deliver more value” than its price. While the entire world is anxiously waiting for the game to come out, one individual decided to film themselves flying all the way to Scotland to harass Rockstar employees.
GTA 6 devs harassed by TikToker
As spotted and relayed by Gameroll on X, a TikToker with the account name backonboulevard filmed themselves outside Rockstar North’s office in Scotland. Their TikTok video has received 117K views, and it features the content creator saying, “We are live here from Edinburgh Scotland, I flew all the way over here cause I’m sick and tired of waiting for the answers”. He then shows the entrance to Rockstar North to show that he’s live outside the building.
The video shows the TikToker shouting at one Rockstar employee, “When’s the delay, when’s the next trailer,” with the employee rushing across the road and shouting back “I don’t know”. The second developer filmed was bombarded with questions as to “when’s the delay happening, is there another delay, what about the trailer, is there a trailer”. This developer understandably just walked away without saying anything.
In the replies to Gameroll, the comments better reflect the seriousness of the situation, calling the content creator “human garbage” and his video “disgusting”. Sadly, the responses on TikTok are worse as some comments go as far as saying “I mean they [Rockstar] did it to themselves. Just release the game already”.
Suffice to say, the video is an example of how not to behave. Rockstar employees, or employees of any developer or publisher, don’t deserve to be bombarded by random individuals at their place of work or anywhere else. Take-Two and Rockstar will reveal trailer 3 and more about the game when they’re ready, and all fans can and should do is patiently wait rather than doing anything foolish.
Rockstar are already under enough pressure to meet the extraordinary expectations set by the entire world, so they don’t need to be rushed into delivering what is predicted to be the biggest entertainment launch in history.
