Sony has announced that European gamers will be able to get hold of Gran Turismo 4 on March 9th 2005. The Gran Turismo series has sold over 36 million units and fans are sure to lap this up in March.

While the game’s proposed online play was scrapped last year, the game does feature and all new B-Spec mode and the rather original photo mode. B-Spec mode takes you out of the driving seat and into the role of race manager. You control race strategy rather than the car itself. Photo mode lets you take snap shots of your favourite cars at any of the games locations.

While European gamers have to wait a few months more than Japanese gamers, they aren’t getting such a bad deal. On top of the 700 cars and 52 tracks, the European version of the game will include 10 cars not found in the Japanese release. These include the new Alfa Romeo and the record breaking Auto Union V16 Type C Streamline Race Car.

The games soundtrack features tracks from Kasabian, Death Metals, DJ Freq Nasty and Bushwacka. An assortment of classical music is also included. We will bring you a full review of the game in March.
