The PC version of GRID Autosport will receive Oculus Rift support via an upcoming patch due later this week, Codemasters has announced.

In a post on the Codemasters Blog, the developer highlights that the update is “experimental”, and notes that tinkering is required in order for the VR support to function.

“We’ve been tinkering with VR for a while now and have reached the stage where we believe it’s working pretty well, and as such, we’ve decided to allow you to experience it for yourselves.”

The post continues: “This support is only experimental, and as such, there are some in-game options that may cause crashes if you try to change them in game – examples of these are changing resolution, and resizing the window.”

The post contains full details of how to set up Rift support, so head over there if you’re one of the lucky few who has an Oculus Rift headset and fancies a bit of VR driving.
