Yesterday Ubisoft published its first-semester report, announcing a 13 percent rise in revenue for the first half of its current fiscal year, but more importantly for gamers, the publisher also announced the Q1 2007 release of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2.

Ghost Recon was released back in March 2006 and to date has sold more than 2.4 million copies over all platforms. The sequel’s release so early in 2007 comes as a bit of a surprise, coming only a year after its predecessor. Currently there is no information on release platforms or plot details.

Ubisoft also revealed that it will be releasing an additional seven Wii titles by the end of March 2007, including one “nonannounced new brand.” This means Ubisoft will have 14 titles released for the Wii before April 2007.

It’s not all good news for gamers though; both Assassin’s Creed and Brothers In Arms Hell’s Highway will now arrive in fiscal year 2007-2008, which means any time between April 2007 and March 2008.
