This week’s chart, for once, looks interesting, with eight new entries and a truck load of Nintendo DS titles. The might of a new Nintendo console wasn’t enough to prevent Sony’s Gran Turismo 4 from reaching the top spot though, with Super Mario 64 DS only managing No.4 in the charts. Still, that isn’t a bad showing. With three DS titles in the top 10, Nintendo should be pretty pleased.

Less brilliant is the low entry for the budget priced Polarium. We had hoped for more from this, seeing as it is our pick of the DS launch titles. Only managing to make No.34 when it is priced £10 below most DS titles is a real shame.

Next week should see entries for Resident Evil 4, Fight Night Round 2, Brothers In Arms: Road to Hill 30, Act of War: Direct Action and the long awaited Championship Manager 5. Check back next week to see how they faired.
