THQ Nordic has announced that Black Mirror, a new gothic horror adventure, will be released on November 28, 2017. Black Mirror is a reboot of the point-and-click franchise from the mid-to-late 00’s, telling a completely new story independent from the the rest of the games series. Playing as David Gordon, players will get to focus on the investigation of the nightmarish visions that plague his mind.
Just like the original point-and-click adventure trilogy, the new Black Mirror taps into the gothic horror genre, focusing on an atmosphere of madness and psychological distress. The mental and psychological aspects are something which the series has always maintained at its core. Newcomers to the franchise needn’t worry about being bewildered by the game’s lore, as this is pitched as an independent yet modern take on the story with improved graphics. A new gameplay feature has also been announced where players will be able to interact ‘with vision-like apparitions’.
There’ll be a playable demo of the game for the public at Gamescom 2017, if you’re there you can check it out at the THQ Nordic Stand (A011) is in the Entertainment Area in Hall 8.
Black Mirror will be released on November 28 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
