Jason Roberts’ critically acclaimed brain-teasing puzzler Gorogoa is coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this year, publisher Annapura has announced.

Gorogoa was originally released on mobile, PC, and Switch last year and is, well, an interesting and difficulty game to try to explain. You’re essentially presented with a series of panel-paintings that can be manipulated by the player, allowing you venture into and explore them, finding a connection that links all four images together so that you can progress to the next stage.

It’s more complicated than that when you actually play the thing, obviously, so just take our word for it.

The game doesn’t feature any kind of hints, so you’re pretty much left to your own devices to solve each puzzle. Surprisingly, there’s also an intriguing narrative behind Gorogoa, focusing on a young boy who seeks an encounter with a divine creature and explores elements of religion and spirituality.

Gorogoa has yet to attract a release date on PS4 and Xbox One, but we’ll keep you updated. For now, we recommend watching a trailer for the game below to give you a better idea of what it’s all about.
