GoPets will enable the player to create, raise and train a virtual dog or cat and watch as their pet develops a personality, hobbies and character traits that make it unique.
Players will also be able to take their pet online using Nintendo WiFi Connection. Once online it will be possible to chat with other pet owners using text chat or via GoPets’ icon-based system which removes the usual language limitation when chatting to people from the world over.
As you and your pet travel the world in the game’s online mode, you’ll be able to keep a journal of where you’ve been and who you have become friends with. If you can’t get online then there’s a selection of offline mini-games to enjoy and a bunch of local residents to visit with your pet.
GoPets is scheduled for release for the Nintendo DS in the autumn.
