Rollercoaster Films is currently running an IndieGoGo campaign where they’re looking for $85,000 to complete production on the film. Many of those who worked on the N64 classic have been interviewed, as well as a number of people in the media.

‘Over the course of the film we’ll delve into just how the young and inexperienced team at Rare managed to overcome so many challenges to create arguably the most revered and influential console shooter of all time,’ Rollercoaster outline on its IndieGoGo page. ‘We’ll also explore the personal anecdotes of the game’s developers, critics, fans and celebrities discussing how it shaped them and their lives’

The Australian film company is looking for funding to enable them to travel to the UK, and if stretch goals are met, film in North America, too. There’s even a goal to get the crew to Switzerland to check out the the Verzasca Dam, the setting of the 17th Bond’s memorable bungee jump scene.

GoldenEra is scheduled to be released later this year.
