A mod for the PC release of God of War Ragnarok that removed the game’s PlayStation Network login requirement has been removed by its creator. Across multiple platforms, the mod has been scrapped without any announcement.
God of War Ragnarok PSN mod killed
Available for just a single day, the God of War Ragnarok mod has already been taken off Nexus Mods and GitHub. The modification allowed players of the new PC version to completely negate the PSN requirements for the single-player game.
Killed without explanation, the modification received thousands of downloads before being removed. Despite the modder’s insistence that the game doesn’t modify any game code or use official assets, the mod has still been axed.
Navigating to the modder’s GitHub page, the God of War Ragnarok No PSN mod has been completely stripped. The open source code has been removed alongside the mod’s traditional download.
No explanation at all
No announcement has been given as to why the mod is now gone. However, the mod has been backed up by multiple sources online.
While we can’t guarantee the safety of using the reuploaded modification online, there are numerous websites now hosting the mod. Nevertheless, for those who are willing to risk downloading the mod from unofficial sources may be able to play the game without a PSN login.
With no public DMCA takedown notice and no announcement from the developer, it’s unsure if PlayStation has officially requested the mod’s deletion.
We have reached out to the mod’s original creator iArtoriasUA for comment regarding the mod’s deletion.
