Glen Schofield, the founder of Sledgehammer Games, has announced he's founding a new AAA studio under PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds publisher PUBG Corporation's umbrella.
In the announcement, Schofield revealed that the new studio will be based in San Ramon, California and will be called Striking Distance. Their first project is set to be a an 'original narrative experience in the PUBG Universe'.
There's no word yet on exactly what this entails, but Schofield certainly has pedigree on AAA narratives, having worked on the Dead Space series while at Visceral and then the Call of Duty series when at Sledghammer until his departure late last year.
The team is still hiring for the project, so it'll probably be a while before we hear more, but in the meantime you can see the announcement video here:
