Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered will launch on October 4 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One (via IGN). That’s National Cinnamon Bun Day in Sweden, so if you’re not a native, I’d advise planning flights and accommodation soon to get a good deal.
We hadn’t heard anything from developers Saber Interactive and Mad Dog Games for a while now, but it is confirmed that the game is on track and will deliver its spooks well ahead of Halloween this year.
If you’re not familiar with the original game, that 2009 release swerved from the cinematic storylines to tell a totally new story, written in part by Ghostbuster actors Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. All four Ghostbusters including Ernie Hudson and Bill Murray reprised their roles for the game, and the game was met with a positive reception back in 2009. The remaster has a lot to live up to, but a lick of fresh graphical capabilities, with the nostalgia for the movies, is surely a recipe for success.
