Ubisoft has announced that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is in development at its Paris studio, with a scheduled worldwide holiday 2010 release.

Created by the award-winning team behind the GRAW series, Future Soldier promises cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes. We’re told to expect “a fresh gameplay experience, with an unparalleled level of quality that will excite long-time fans and newcomers alike”.

Ubisoft also announced that gamers will be given the opportunity to play Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier’s Multiplayer Beta this summer. An exclusive beta invitation will be available for a limited time to customers who purchase Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction for Xbox 360.

Besides confirmation that the game is coming to Xbox 360, no other platforms were mentioned in Ubisoft’s press release.
