Ubisoft has announced the official name for Ghost Recon 3, which will now be known as Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter. The game is scheduled for release this winter on Xbox 360, PC and current-gen consoles, and focuses on the deployment of the soldier of the future, the Warfigher.

The game is set in 2013 and the Army can now deploy the Integrated Warfighter System (IWS). This transforms a soldier into the ultimate fighting force. In Warfighter you take control of Captain Scott Mitchell as he endeavours to save the president of the United States, recover nuclear codes and eliminate a band of renegade soldiers. All in a day’s work, of course.

Expect a lot more information on the game as its release date approaches.
