US customers who pre-order Battlefield 3 on PC through EA’s Origin digital store will be given access to take part in the game’s multiplayer Beta, according to a report on Multiplayer Blog.
The pre-order page for UK customers makes no mention of the beta access, instead offering the Back to Karkand expansion, Physical Warfare weapon pack and items for Battlefield Play4Free.
Whether EA will start offering Beta access to UK customers in the future remains to be seen, but it doesn’t seem to have affected pre-orders. Battlefield 3 pre-orders are already 10x that of Bad Company 2, and comparable to Call of Duty: Black Ops.
This week EA essentially confirmed that Battlefield 3 will have an online pass.
