Activision has announced Geometry Wars 3: Dimension Evolved, a major free title update for last year’s arcade shooter that almost doubles the amount of content available in the game.

Due to roll out later this month, the update introduces 40 new stages to the game’s Adventure Mode, including new boss battles, 3D grid shapes, gameplay types, a new Sweeper drone and a Detonator super ability, along with a new Hardcore mode that lets players tackle 20 dedicated levels without using a drone or super.

The update will be available as a free download to existing PS4, PS3 and PC Geometry Wars 3 owners from March 31, and Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners on April 1.

If you’ve yet to pick up Geometry Wars 3, the game will automatically be updated to Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved once the title update rolls out, and be priced identically to the current release across all digital platforms.
