Geoff Keighley, part games journalist, part TV presenter, all man, has just revealed the expected price of Xbox’s Project Scorpio. On his Twitter.
I can now say with confidence Project Scorpio is $499. Unless something changes today, that is what will be announced.

$499 is a bit pricier than the PlayStation Pro’s $399, but the Scorpio is more powerful. How much this will cost for UK consumers is still up in the air. Recent runs on the pound mean that we’re unlikely to get a great exchange rate on the price: Microsoft trades in dollars, and the pound is weak to the dollar these days. Somewhere around £450 wouldn’t a ridiculous estimate.
This comes just hours before Project Scorpio is officially revealed at the Xbox E3 showcase, at which point we’ll get a name and a first look at the box itself.
Geoff, having previously run a poll on Twitter for what people thought the price would be, is now running one on a likely name.
What do you think Project Scorpio is actually called? Or something else?
