Genshin Impact 5.7 is set to come out in June. The livestream preview is scheduled to take place in just a few days, and we already know the new characters coming out are Skirk and Dahlia. Nothing else has been confirmed beyond these new arrivals, but Genshin Impact leaks have possibly revealed 6.X banners along with first details about the mysterious new character for 5.8.
Genshin Impact 6.0 is expected to come out after 5.8. Hoyoverse typically release new episodes every six weeks. With 5.7 currently slated for June 18th, this means 5.8 should start roughly around July 30th, with 6.0 then landing on September 10th. However, this is by no means official and is just educated assumptions based on Hoyoverse’s track record for releases.
We don’t know what banners will be coming in 6.0, but a leak has possibly revealed new characters for 6.1 to 6.5/6.6. Below is the alleged schedule shared on the leaks subreddit:
- Barbeloth
- Durin – Anemo, 6.1
- Columbina – 5-star, The Moon God, 6.2
- Varka – Anemo, 6.4
- Dottore – Electro, 6.5/6.6
In addition to the above, it’s claimed that there will be a Geo as well, but the name of this character has not been revealed, nor the episode they will release.
The above leak comes courtesy of Shiroha. According to the Genshin Impact community, they are a very reliable leaker in the space of Honkai Star Rail, so it remains to be seen if they are as accurate with Genshin. Remember that nothing is official, and plans can change internally.
5.8 new character
Meanwhile, for 5.8, very little is known about the mysterious new character. There were concerns that there would not be a new playable hero at all, but this is no longer the case according to leaks. While we don’t know anything about the character, leaks suggest that they are another female to add to the game’s roster, as per hxg_diluc on X. This is the only detail provided so far, but hopefully more will eventually surface.
Aside from the new 5.8 character being female, Shiroha has also suggested that 5.8 will provide new skins for Bennet and Yelan. There will also reportedly be another Lantern event, this time with an emphasis on Yan Lan and someone else.
