The livestream preview for Genshin Impact 5.7 is imminent, and then the episode will release in just a couple of weeks. Then, in July, we should be treated to 5.8 before moving onto 6.0. Very little is known about the future beyond 5.7 as of writing, but leaks claim to reveal the new Genshin Impact 5.8 character, map, skins, and more.

Genshin Impact 5.8 leaks

According to HXG as relayed by the Genshin Impact leaks subreddit, the new character for 5.8 is Yennifer/Ineva. They are reportedly a 5-star “Electro Lady” with “Special Electro-Charged Support”. It’s also claimed that this character “won’t restrict your team to only Hydro + Electro”.

In addition to a new character, there will reportedly be a new map called “Mare Jivari”. This is said to be “Eternal Moon’s Burial Place,” as well as “Lavawalker artifact set lore payoff”.

Lastly, there will supposedly be a new event featuring Bennett, and this will include a free 4-star skin for the character, too. There will also be an additional skin for Yelan.

Remember that these are only leaks rather than anything official. The only new characters we know of and when they are coming out is Skirk and Dahlia for 5.7.

With 5.7 slated to start on June 18th, 5.8 should start on July 30th provided there are no delays and Hoyoverse stick to their schedule of releasing new episodes every six-weeks. Before 5.8 comes out, drip marketing on social media should confirm the next new character, so we don’t have too long to wait for official news.
