The original Gears of War is being remastered for Xbox One, Microsoft has finally confirmed.
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition features the original Xbox 360 game remastered in 1080p and is due to launch exclusively on Xbox One on August 25.
The game’s multiplayer will run at 60fps on Xbox One, too, although a single-player framerate has yet to be revealed.
And if you can’t wait until August to give it a go, you can play it today by downloading the beta. A public beta of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will be available to download and play on Xbox One for one week starting later today.
The next game in the franchise, Gears of War 4, launches on Xbox One in holiday 2016.
