Microsoft and Epic Games have announced the February 15 release of the Gears of War Triple Pack for Xbox 360. The bumper pack includes both standalone games, as well as the 19 multiplayer maps and Road to Ruin DLC included in the All Fronts Pack. Map Pack 1 and Hidden Fronts from Gears aren’t on the disc, but can be downloaded from Xbox LIVE free of charge.

The Gears of War Triple Pack is currently only announced for release in North America. Microsoft had no details to share on a UK release when contacted by VideoGamer.com earlier today.

Update

Microsoft has released a statement on the various editions of Gears of War available in the UK.

“The “Gears of War Triple Pack” is a US regional promotion. In the UK, “Gears of War 2” – complete with the All Fronts game add-on content – has already joined “Gears of War” in the elite Classics range, where we offer our best games at great value prices. You can pick up “Gears of War 2 Classic Edition” for ERP £19.99, while “Gears of War” is currently available at the even lower ERP of £14.99.”

Gears of War is one of the Xbox 360’s premier series, so a double pack is an excellent move for anyone yet to sample its delights.

Calling it a triple pack is misleading, though, seeing as you’re only getting two games.
