The previously announced Gears of War Global Xbox Live Tournament has experienced some technical issues and therefore has had its start date put back from April 9 to April 20. In addition, the cut off point for registration has been extended until May 12.

Players are competing in ranked matches in Warzone, with the top 11 ranked players winning a trip for two to Prague to compete in the Gears of War World Finals. Players that rank 12-25 will receive an Xbox 360 bundle (Xbox 360 Pro Console, Viva Piñata, Project Gotham Racing 3, Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged Volume 1, Kameo, and Xbox Live Gold 12-month subscription) and Gears of War faceplates.
