The first gameplay footage of canned Gears of War spin-off ‘Gears of War: Tactics’ has leaked online.
Hosted by VG Leaks, the video features over 2 minutes of footage from Epic’s cancelled RTS, which is said to have used Kinect to let players move troops and call in special abilities, like the Hammer of Dawn.
VG Leaks revealed the first screenshots of Gears of War: Tactics in February 2013, speculating that development of the game may have moved from Xbox 360 to Xbox One. In today’s update, however, the site speculates that the game may have been canned after hitting alpha.
Rumours of a Kinect-enabled Gears of War game first emerged way back in November 2010, although Microsoft has never formally announced the title.
