In a post on the Epic Games’ official forums, Cliffy B has revealed that Gears of War will ship complete with ten multiplayer maps. Previously the number had been set cautiously at eight, but now it appears we’ll be getting ten.
There are also some rumours doing the rounds that a demo might be coming very soon. This stems from an email sent out to the people on the Gears of War mailing list containing the message “Marcus Fenix has been located. You have 48 hours to mobilise” and a link to a website called 48hrsexclusiveaccess.
You can check out the site for yourself and wave some matches around a prison cell to reveal some game back story. If the demo doesn’t materialize, don’t worry too much as it’ll be released in North America on November 12 and November 17 in Europe.
