UPDATE – July 21: GAME has increased the price of the console to £399.99. However, according to reports on HotUKDeals, customers who pre-ordered the console prior to the price increase have been told they will still only be charged £349.99.
ORIGINAL STORY: The special edition Gears of War 4 2TB Xbox One S will cost £349.99 in the UK, according to GAME – the same price as the standard white 2TB SKU.
That makes it a pretty good deal considering it comes with Gears of War 4’s Ultimate Edition, which retails individually for £79.99. If you’re tempted by one, head through to GAME to pre-order.
The special edition console was officially announced by Microsoft yesterday and comes with a red Gears-inspired console, 2TB hard drive, Gears of War 4 controller and Gears of War 4’s Ultimate Edition. It retails for $449.99 in the US.
The Xbox One S, of course, is Microsoft’s new Xbox One model, and features a new 40% smaller design and a 4K Blu-ray player. It’s due to go on sale early next month.
The Gears of War 4 console, meanwhile, is scheduled to launch in the UK on October 7, GAME says, the same day as Gears 4’s Ultimate Edition.
