Gears of War 4 could come to PC, The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson has revealed.

Asked by Game Informer whether there is any chance the game could come to the platform, Fergusson simply replied: “Possibly”.

Fergusson’s response follows recent announcements from Microsoft that it is to bring a free-to-play version of Xbox One exclusive Forza Motorsport 6 to PC this spring, and release a PC version of Quantum Break simultaneously with the Xbox One version.

It also released a PC version of last year’s Xbox One exclusive Gears of War: Ultimate Edition last week. Killer Instinct: Season 3 is also due to come to the platform.

“At Xbox we believe gamers should be able to play the games they want, with the people they want, on the devices they want,” Xbox chief Phil Spencer said last week. “Making more of our popular games available for gamers to play on either Xbox One or Windows 10, each powered by Xbox Live, is another important step towards this vision. We are committed to delivering amazing gaming experiences for gamers who play on consoles, PCs or both.”

Gears of War 4 launches on Xbox One this autumn. A PC version has yet to be announced.
