Gears 5 has gone gold one month ahead of its launch in September, as announced by its developer The Coalition in a post on Xbox Wire.

Though The Coalition has dotted the ‘i’s and crossed the Locusts off its list, the developer will assumably continue polishing Gears 5 until its release. Rod Fergusson, studio head at The Coalition, described his gratitude for the team’s graft and his excitement to deliver the game to its fans.

‘From all of us at The Coalition, we couldn’t be more excited to share Gears 5 with the world. I want to thank the team here who has worked so hard for our fans, and we all hope you are all as excited as we are to play Gears 5,’ he said. ‘This is furthest we have ever taken the franchise, living our studio mantra of “if you want to go far, go together”.’

Accompanying the announcement is a list of the next game’s achievements. None are spoilers, and they’re divided into Campaign, Escape and Map Builder, Horde, Versus and Progression and Other, along with their Gamerscore. There’s also a photo of the The Coalition team, all very smiley and holding the gold disc of Gears 5, which is lovely.

Gears 5 will launch next month on September 10 for Xbox One and PC.
