Gears of War 4 will offer free DLC maps, with new maps rotating in and out of operation to keep things fresh.
New DLC maps will launch each month, rotating into play and knocking others from the playlist. This means all players will have access to whatever maps are currently in use.
However, the downside is that a favourite map of yours may drop out of operation. The Coalition’s solution is to offer all maps as paid DLC for use in private matches. In this situation only the host of the game needs to own the map for all others to participate.
Gears of War 4 will ship with 10 maps at launch.
