During Satoru Iwata’s keynote speech at this year’s GDC the first Zelda game for the Nintendo DS has been announced. Titled ‘The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass’, the game uses cel-shaded 3D visuals, with the top screen used mainly for maps, while the touch screen is used the game action and for numerous touch screen puzzles.

Phantom Hourglass is in development by the team that made Windwaker and will be playable at E3 in May. While the Revolution wasn’t really Iwata’s focus during his speech, he did announce that much more would be seen at E3.
