NDL, a leading independent developer of 3D graphics technology, has announced that their GameByro 2 technology will fully support the next generation Xbox console. Due for release this summer, GameByro 2 is built to take full advantage of Microsoft’s next console and will enable developers to focus on content creation.
“To take full advantage of the next generation Xbox platform, developers must create a tremendous amount of content. They must focus their energy and resources on art and gameplay. Gamebryo 2 enables the developer to easily take advantage of the next generation Xbox platform,” said John Austin, president and chief executive officer of NDL.
“NDL has established a strong reputation in the games industry, with a flexible 3D technology toolkit that was optimized effectively for the Xbox platform,” said Tracey Frankcom, program manager, Xbox tools and middleware. “We are pleased that Gamebryo 2 supports the next generation Xbox platform and we will work closely with NDL to ensure that development teams are provided with the best new technologies available on the market. This will offer game developers a head start in harnessing the power of the platform, allowing them to focus on creating the high definition visuals and innovative game content that gamers will be demanding.”
