Publisher Bigpoint has announced the development of an upcoming Game of Thrones MMO.

The game is being developed for browsers and will be made with the help of Artplant, the studio Bigpoint had previously worked with on Battlestar Galactica Online.

The MMO will use the proprietary Unity Engine, a 3D game-authoring tool used in a number of Xbox 360 and PS3 titles.

Bigpoint will be announcing further information during the upcoming Game Developers Conference which runs March 7 to March 9.

It is almost certain, however, that the MMO will feature a free-to-play business model, based on the firm’s history with free-to-play games.
