Specialist retailer GAME has listed Star Wars 1313 as being due for release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, despite reports that the game could be a next-gen title.

The retailer also lists it for release next year.

Speculation over the intended formats for Star Wars 1313 swirled across the net earlier this week following its showing at E3, with many suggesting that the game was too visually advanced to launch on current-gen consoles.

One report suggested that the game “was undeniably next gen” and that there was “no way it could run on current gen hardware”.

The E3 demo is being demonstrated on a high-end Nvidia-powered PC, publisher LucasArts confirmed, rather than a console.

A release date and format information has yet to be announced by LucasArts.

Earlier this week, Epic Games boss Mark Rein confirmed that the game is being developed using Unreal Engine 3, not Epic’s next-gen engine Unreal Engine 4.
