Recovering retailer GAME has finally realised the year is 2012 and is now offering an online price-checker for your potential trade-ins.
The page asks you to input your game’s barcode and jump through a captcha-shaped hoop before you can discover how many of the Queen’s pounds you’ll be able to get.
“The Price Checker is always kept up-to-date with our latest Trade-In values, so you can be sure the price quoted is the game’s current value. We’ll show you the value of the game as both cash and credit, and feel free to check as many games as you like – the Price Checker will add up the total for you as you go, so you know exactly what to expect when it’s time to trade your games in,” says the website.
GAME is also currently running a promotion where you receive 25% extra on store credit when you trade in.
Rival retailer HMV has its re:play app for iOS and Android, whereas CEX just allows you to search through items to flog on via its online site.
