Recently Microsoft have been sending warning letters to owners of the Xbox console, highlighting possible hardware failures with the console. Microsoft had previously been saying that only 1 in 10,000 units would have possible problems, but now they are warning that any Xbox manufactured before January 14 2005 may have a problem. As before, owners of an Xbox are being told to phone or use the Xbox website to get a new power cable sent to them which will make the console safe to use.
