THQ has announced that they will be releasing a sequel to Full Spectrum Warrior. The game, titled Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers, will build on what made the first game such a success.

The critical acclaim, commercial success and fan base for the Full Spectrum Warrior brand continues to grow, with the game reaching Platinum status on Xbox and the recent launch of the PlayStation 2 game,” said Peter Dille, senior vice president, worldwide marketing, THQ. “Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers is expected to have a simultaneous launch across all platforms, taking the brand to the next level with enhanced gameplay and intense online features.”

As in the original game, players play the squad leaders, whose job it is to coordinate the actions of the squad. The sequel will include enhanced online play, offering a multitude of new head-to-head and co-op objective-based missions. Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers is due for simultaneous release on PC, Xbox and PlayStation 2 this winter. The game will be revealed at E3 later this month.
