Full Auto from Pseudo Interactive is returning for a sequel, now with more cars, tracks and game modes, and exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Full Auto 2: Battlelines will feature 25 customisable vehicles, more than 20 vehicle-mounted weapons and over 20 tracks through which destruction can ensue.

In single-player the task is simple: take out the opposition as you attempt to take control of Staunton City by conquering six different districts. Use the destructible environments to uncover shortcuts to or create obstacles for your opponents. As with its predecessor, online multiplayer returns, featuring six game modes for up to eight players. Game modes include Gladiator, Base Assault, and Team Deathmatch.

Full Auto 2: Battlelines features some of the most destructible environments ever seen in a video game,” said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. “The intentional destruction of the environment will play an integral role in gameplay as classic racing lines are altered or removed completely by savvy players with well executed long range missile tactics.

The game’s Unwreck feature also makes a return, allowing players to rewind time for another chance at a tricky corner or avoiding enemy fire. Visuals are said to be cutting edge and will “push the next-generation technological boundaries to the limit.” Hopefully we can expect an improvement over the sluggish frame rate that somewhat ruined the, otherwise impressive, visuals on the Xbox 360.

Expect more on the game at E3.
