Xbox 360 users can continue to play the free games downloaded via Microsoft’s Games with Gold promotion even if they cancel their Xbox LIVE Gold subscription, Microsoft’s Yusuf Mehdi has clarified.
Multiple games have already been released for free via the promotion, including Assassin’s Creed 2, Dead Rising 2 and Fable 3.
Halo 3 and Rainbow Six Vegas are both due to follow later in the year.
The promotion is expected to be available until Xbox One launches this November, but could be extended into 2014.
