Beginning August 2 and running until August 7, the full game will be free to download and play over Steam, giving newcomers the chance to experience Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 for six days. If you wish to continue playing after that time you’ll need to part with $24.95.
The game’s free Booster Pack should be out by the time the free trial commences (it’s actually due today), adding the new Lyes Krovy map, supplying smoke grenades to infantry commanders, and altering tank-reloading, making it possible to choose the next round to load without having to unload first. The pack will also contain numerous fixes, all of which will auto download over Steam.
