Namco’s Frame City (known as Frame City Killer to western audiences) was the first title announced to come out of Japan using the Unreal Engine 3. The game has been receiving a fair bit of attention, but unfortunately has seen its release pushed back from February 23, 2006 to spring 2006. The reason given for the delay is to improve the quality of the product, something we cannot complain about, but its delay is, never the less, a disappointment.

This gets added to an ever increasing pile of home grown Japanese titles that have suffered delays. Dead or Alive 4 is now scheduled for December 29, with Enchant Arm (previously a launch title) delayed until January 12, and N3: Ninety-Nine Nights now expected in the spring.
