Last month it was announced that Frame City Killer (Frame City in Japan) was to miss its targeted February 23 release and was now expected in the spring. A Namco spokesperson has now confirmed to 1up that the game will be released in North America in the second half of 2006.

Thanks for your interest in FCK. The game is slated to come out in the second half of 2006 (likely summer). No reason for the delay – just polishing the game so our second Xbox 360 title looks great!” said the rep.

Frame City Killer is being developed on Unreal Engine 3.0, but released images of the game have been a mixed bunch of nice looking city environments to truly awful looking car models. The game puts the player in the role of a hitman who must track down a psycho terrorist named Kahn. You must stop him from releasing a deadly bio-mechanical virus on Frame City.

Frame City Killer has always looked like one of the rougher Xbox 360 titles, but recently the game has received harsh criticism from some online communities. With Ridge Racer 6 not being all it could have been, Namco have a lot to prove with their second Xbox 360 title.
