Retro fans are in for a treat this week with the release of four new titles for the European Wii Virtual Console. First up is the SEGA Mega Drive action platformer Shinobi III. Players assume the role of Joe Musashi, a Ninjitsu fighter, and must take on the crime syndicate Neo Zeed.
Also released today is the 1994, Treasure platformer Dynamite Headdy. Headdy is the star of a travelling theatre and has an explosive, detachable head. He must fight his way past numerous evil puppets over several theatrical stages and feature the evil puppet king, Dark Demon, and his minions.
Next up is yet another title for the SEGA Mega Drive; the 1992 RPG Shining Force. A thousand years of peace are destroyed when the Kingdom of Runefaust brings war to the land of Rune. Players must wield the Powers of Light to take on the Lord of Darkness and restore peace.
Finally we have the TurboGrafx action-puzzler Drop Off. Princess Azumi has been placed under a sleeping spell and the game’s hero must venture into her nightmares to save her. Players must complete and solve block puzzles using a ball to shatter the blocks that fall from the top of the screen.
The three SEGA Mega Drive titles are priced 800 Wii Points, with the single TurboGrafx game a little cheaper at 600 Wii Points.
