Forza Horizon 4 developer Playground Games has rolled out the latest update for the critically acclaimed racer, and with it, removing the Carlton and Floss avatar emotes.

No reason for their removal was given, although presumably the company is covering its back after Epic Games, the developer behind Fortnite, which found itself in hot water with actor Alfonso Ribeiro after utilising the Carlton emote in its popular battle royale title.

That's not all either. Russell Horning's mother sued Epic for its use of The Floss, which is basically a rebranded version of Russell's (aka Backpack Kid) infamous The Russell, erm shuffle. No doubt Playground and Microsoft are eager to avoid similar problems in the latest Forza.

To be fair, that's not the biggest thing about this update. Forza Horizon 4's latest patch also includes a wealth of fixes, as well as adding the Mitsubishi car pack and fresh Adventure Playlist and Horizon Story content.

Forza Horizon 4 was released on Xbox One back in October. Josh took it for a spin and came away grinning like Jeremy Clarkson after a spin around the Top Gear track. He liked it a lot, basically.
