An upcoming Forza Horizon 4 update could bring over 100 new cars to the open-world racing title, as discovered by GTPlanet dataminers.
Released for Xbox One and PC in 2018, Forza Horizon 4 is set in the British Isles and has a special artificial intelligence for herds of sheep in the countryside. It means that players will never be able to accidentally (or purposefully) run over a sheep while doing doughnuts in a picturesque field. The game also has lots of cars, but when someone says “Forza Horizon 4”, I remember that fact about the sheep first and foremost.
Playground Games has supported the game with content updates since its launch. These bundles have included new features, achievements, Showcase Remixes, and of course, cars. With regards to the next update, GTPlanet has found 120 new cars buried in the game’s code and there are some stunners among them. (Or so I’m led to believe. All breeds of car look the same to me.)
Mercedes-AMG models are included, as well as 1975 Citroen DS23, the 2017 Alpine A110, Hennessey Velociraptor 6×6, a BMW M635CSi, and a LEGO Bugatti Chiron. This last car adds veracity to the datamined content, because there are four LEGO Speed Champions cars in the game already. It is unknown whether all of these cars would arrive at once, or whether the update is paid or free for players. Strangely, no Toyota models feature even though that brand was said to make an appearance this month, and there is a misspelling of the Rolls Royce Wraith file. GTPlanet conferred with its source who affirmed that the list is legitimate and gave the outlet an even larger list of possible cars to come.
Let’s temper our expectations. This code could have been left over while the game was in testing, and not all of these vehicles could be coming to Forza Horizon 4. Maybe Playground Games has no intention to add any of the cars on this list. We won’t know for certain until the developer acknowledges the leak or officially reveals the content update of its own volition. Still, it would make for a very happy holiday for Forza fans. Watch this space.
