UPDATE: Microsoft has formally announced Forza Horizon 3, confirming details leaked earlier today.

As previously reported the game will be set in Australia and support 4-player co-op. The game will also support Cross-Play across Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, meaning players can play with their friends across both devices.

The game launches on September 27, although you’ll be able to play it four days early on September 23 by picking up the Ultimate Edition.

ORIGINAL STORY: Forza Horizon 3 is coming to both Xbox One and Windows 10, and will release on September 27, 2016, according to a report by Nerd Leaks.

The site claims to have received info about the unannounced game just hours ahead of its expected reveal later today, claiming that the game will be set in Australia and feature “the largest open-world ever built” by developer Playground Games. “Extreme terrains” are said to feature, too.

There’s also 4-player campaign co-op, the site says, along with the “largest car roster” ever seen in a Horizon game.

Microsoft announced plans to reveal a new Forza title at E3 earlier this year, with the Lamborghini Centenario set to star.

The platform holder’s press conference kicks off in just over 3 hours’ time at 5:30pm BST this evening.
