Another week, another Fortnite update and the showcase addition this week is a new Burst Submachine Gun added to the battle royale shooter.
Firing a quick 4 round burst with a 1.75x headshot multiplyer, it uses light ammo and fires a little faster than the Supressed Submachine Gun which it replaces. Elsewhere, Team Rumble mode now spawns 4 hot spots each match to try and allievate an ongoing issue where some were appearing more for one team than the other. A more permanent fix for that is in the works.
The Limited Time Modes featured this update are Solid Gold Duos featuring exclusively Legendary weapons, Unvaulted Squads which sees previously retired or otherwise 'vaulted' weapons available for use, and Close Encounters Squads which sees everyone armed with shotguns and jetpacks.
Meanwhile Creative mode sees the addition of some new Ground Floors and Mine themed objects, while Save the World mode gets a new Wargames simulation in Hexed, which sees your band of heroes cursed with debuffing effects unless they activate certain artifacts around the map.
As always, you can find full patch notes on the Fortnite website.
