Epic Games has confirmed that Playground, the limited-time event for the battle royale edition of Fortnite, will be taken offline next week for more tinkering.
Playground is due to get pulled on June 12, although Epic has confirmed that it'll be back alongside a host of improvements.
For those out of the loop, Playground launched earlier this week and is decidedly less violent than the typical Fornite experience. Rather than simply duking it out until the last man standing, you strap on your creative cap and start building stuff.
Sessions last about an hour, which combined with the whole Playground scenario, makes it sound an awful lot like break time at primary school.
In terms of improvements, Epic has revealed that the following changes are inbound: 1v1s and 2vs2s, aim assist for controllers, editing other player's structures, traps affecting teammates/enemies correctly, highlighting teammates on the map, and damaging enemies with your pickaxe.
Fortnite's latest content update includes a Tommy Gun and Star and Stripes Heroes.
