Season Eight of Fortnite is now live and kicking, and developer Epic Games is continuing to roll out a fresh batch of pirate-themed content for the popular battle royale title.
New to the table with Fortnite update 8.01 is the Buried Treasure, which sends you on a hunt for hidden loot using a map. And yes, X does mark the spot.
There's also a new Limited Time Mode on offer, Slide Duos, which slaps ice blocks on your character and equips you with infinite ammo Grapplers. Here, falling damage is removed and friction has been lowered considerably.
Save the World players, meanwhile, have a new Soldier to grab in the shape of the Highland Warrior Wildcat. Other than that, the update includes the usual assortment of bug fixes, so give the patch notes a read here.
