Fortnite has its fair share of celebrity fans, but Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex himself, is not one of them. In fact, speaking at the YMCA in West London this week (via Variety), Harry says that Epic Games' battle royale title should be banned. Ouch!
'It’s created to addict,' Harry said. 'An addiction to keep you in front of a computer for as long as possible. It’s so irresponsible.'
'Parents have got their hands up – they don’t know what to do about it. It’s like waiting for the damage to be done,' he added.
Harry also turned his attention to social media, which he feels is a bigger threat than Fortnite. Well, actually, he also went as far to label it as being more addictive than alcohol and drugs.
'It’s more dangerous because it’s normalized and there are no restrictions to it. We are in a mind-altering time.'
'Without that human connection, when you do have a problem you have nowhere to go,' Harry explained. 'The only place you might go is online and you will probably end up getting bullied.'
