The Fortnite Season 5 map was leaked two days before the release of the season. On Tuesday, Epic Games began teasing the new season, hinting at the content it will bring. However, just a few hours later, the upcoming map was leaked on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Epic already confirmed the return of Chapter 1, while Fortnite leakers shared a few more details regarding the future of the game. Due to this, it’s no surprise that the recent map leak confirms all of this. As previously hinted, the Fortnite Season 5 map will begin with Chapter 1 – Season 5 island.
Here’s everything we know about it.
Fortnite Season 5 map will bring Chapter 1 back
Back in 2018, Epic Games released Chapter 1 – Season 5. The season added many new items to Fortnite, and the island received a desert biome for the first time. According to reputable leakers, this map will return next season and will likely be the first map in the rotation.
However, another map was recently leaked, and it will likely be released at some point in Season 5. Here are some POIs the map will have:
- Tilted Towers
- Pleasant Park
- Salty Springs
- Paradise Palms
- Junk Junction
- Haunted Hills
- Risky Reels
- Frosty Flights
Interestingly, the map has the Season X version of Greasy Grove, yet Tilted Towers seems to be in its original form.
The Fortnite Season 5 map will also have many iconic landmarks, like the soccer field and the big tree near Shifty Shafts. Leakers also claim that Epic Games will add ziplines in Zero Build modes, helping players reach all the places. Originally, ziplines were added in Chapter 1 – Season 7.
Popular leakers believe that one map will be active for only a week. After that, Epic will probably switch to other Chapter 1 maps, all the way to Season X. If this leak turns out to be true, the next season will conclude with a remake of Season X and another big Fortnite live event.
It appears that Epic Games won’t be able to shut down the leaks regarding the new season. Shortly after the Fortnite Season 5 map was leaked, leakers also shared the images of the Season 5 Battle Pass. With two days left until the new season, we’ll likely get even more leaks and details.
