Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 has gotten off to a wild start as while some players aren’t too happy with the changes to mobility, others are praising the new mechanics Epic Games have added into the game. Namely, the Cloaking Gauntlets have been getting a lot of love from players as they’ve been taking to social media to share their favourite ninja (not that Ninja) moments.
Being described by some players as Fortnite’s, ‘We have a TF2 collaboration at home’ players seem to be loving the versatility of Chapter 4 Season 3’s latest addition. Taking to Reddit, user Pumpedlol posted, “The new Cloaking Gauntlets are great for getting out of sticky situations and hiding in plain sight,” accompanied by a video of them hiding from a pursuing player using the Gauntlets. Other players have found other practical uses for them as well, with one player saying they use them to get “teammates reboot cards when people camp them.”
It’s not just collecting teammates’ reboot cards either, OnyxSaber9028 claimed the Cloaking Gauntlets are really handy for claiming flags saying, “I love these because they allow me to claim flags without incoming raiders noticing me. Unless some random a** bot has hacks, I won’t get caught while cloaked.” Another player noted that they liked having a more stealthy approach when playing Fortnite now saying, “It’s really fun turning Fortnite into a stealth game for situations like this.”
Players might remember the Predator’s cloak from a previous season. Pumpedlol also pointed out that “As a bonus, they [Cloaking Guantlets] don’t deactivate in the water like the Predator’s cloak used to.”
While a lot of players are loving Chapter 4 Season 3 of Fortnite, Fortnite content creator Tfue recently announced an indefinite hiatus in an emotional video. There is one aspect of the latest season that has fans frustrated however and that is the continued nerf to the game’s fishing.
